Tips for calling to Mexico

  • When dialing to a number in Mexico, you do not need to dial a 0 between the country code and the city code. For example, if you need to call to Guadalajara, you would dial 011 + 52 + 33 + Phone Number.

  • When dialing to a mobile phone in Mexico, you do not need a city code. Mobile phone numbers start with a 9. So if you are calling to a mobile phone in Mexico, dial 011 + 63 + 9(and the remaining digits in the phone number).

Feedback from Customers Calling to Mexico

Here are a couple tips from ZapTel's Customer Service about calling to and from Mexico:

  • Many customers like the Mexico's Best phone card to use when calling Mexico.  It's a great calling card for long talkers calling to Mexico.
  • Some customers have experienced issues when calling from Mexico back to the US.  Some hotels block phone cards from being used.  We recommend that you ask the hotel first whether or not their phones will block phone cards before you make a purchase.  This has helped quite a few customers who have been preparing to travel to Mexico.
