Give the gift givers in your life tips with your MyGiftster online gift list registry

If you ask me, it’s never too early to do some holiday shopping.  Like many others, I’m looking to stay within a budget and hoping I make the mark with the gifts I give to others.  To help others in my family get the most out of their money when giving me a gift, I’ve put my wish list on MyGiftster.com, an online gift registry run by us fun people at ZapTel.

I know what some of you may be thinking - doesn’t giving someone a list take the thought out of gift giving?  I say no!  From a gift giving standpoint, the last thing I want to do is give someone a gift I put a lot of thought into just to have them return or exchange it.  From a gift receiving perspective, I feel bad when I  know someone has put a lot of thought into a gift that I know I will never use.

So we’ve decided to make sharing gift wish lists fun and easy for everyone with MyGiftster.com.  And what better gift can we give you than to provide this service for FREE!

In my account, I’ve created gift registries for both of my kids and me (my husband has his own login).  I’ve created a group for my family so we can share our lists with them and they can share their lists with us.

What’s great about MyGiftster is that you can mark whether or not you’ve purchased something for another person or are thinking of purchasing it for them on their gift registry list.  It tells all the other members of your group what you’re doing to make sure they don’t buy it, too.  And the best part - the gift list creator won’t know!

Another great part about this gifts registry is that it’s  not tied into any retailers.  List makers can list whatever store or website you should shop at to find that perfect item.  Or, if you just want Aunt Sally’s baked potato salad recipe, you can just say “Aunt Sally’s Recipe Book”.

When I make my wish list, I can put in as much or as little detail as I feel necesary about the gift entry.  The more information you can provide about your wish list item, the more prepared your gift givers will be.  You can put in the price, what store they can find the item at, and even a link to find the item online.

You can also make multiple lists if you have some specific interests that you don’t want to put all in one list.  For example, I have a list specifically for stores I like if somone was looking to give me a gift card.  I have another list dedicated to the Nintendo DS games I’d like  to acquire (yes…I am a grown woman and I love my DS).

Go to MyGiftster.com today and create your gift wish list.  It’s quick, easy, fun, and did I mention it’s free?  Create a group for your family and friends and invite them to make their lists, too, so they can help you make your holiday shopping much easier!
