Phone Card Call Detail Records

“Why do some phone cards have the cost per call listed on the call detail records and some don’t? Why don’t all of ZapTel’s phone cards have online call detail records?”
ZapTel works with the carriers whose cards we carry to provide as many features as we can with each phone card. This includes our online call detail records. With these records, some carriers are able to provide us with more detail than others. If you need complete details including call cost, it’s best to know which cards are able to display which details.
The following phone cards have complete call detail records including date and time of call, origination and destination phone numbers, call duration, pay phone surcharges and total call cost:
- Au Pair’s Choice
- Call the World
- Destination Cell
- Extreme Talk Time USA
- Flying Colors!
- International Student’s Choice
- Precision World
- Wireless World
The call detail records for the above cards are available for 180 days. After that, they are purged from the carrier’s system and cannot be retrieved. Our system displays up to 2 months of records at one time.
The call details for the following cards disply date and time of call, origination and destination phone numbers and call duration. These cards do not display pay phone surcharges or total call cost:
The carrier for these cards does not have the capability to give us call cost information to display with their call detail records. If you have one of these cards and have a question about a specific call’s cost, please contact the technical support number with your phone card. The representatives should be able to look up the call and give you details including the call cost. These call detail records are available for 90 days. After that, they are purged from the carrier’s system and cannot be retrieved. Our system displays up to 2 months of records at one time.
We are not able to obtain call detail records for any other phone cards we sell. If you have questions about how a call calculated, please contact the carrier’s technical support number for all other products.
Even though ZapTel does not have the capabilities to display call detail records with all of our products, we continuously work with our carriers to provide all the features we can with the calling cards we sell.
