Extra phone card rate savings with local access numbers

Why is it less per minute to use a phone card with a local access number than a toll free access number?

Toll free numbers may be free for us to call, but there is a cost associated with these numbers that someone has to pay. For phone cards, the carriers pay for this number, and the cost is usually included in the rate per minute.

Using mobile phones outside the U.S.

Can I use my US cell phone with a ZapTel phone card in another country?

Have you ever used your mobile phone just a little out of range and not realized it till you got your next cell phone bill? I know I have, and I’ve wanted to kick myself for the extra charge on my bill. Now imagine traveling across the ocean, using your mobile phone without setting up an international calling plan and getting your next bill. Let me warn you now - it won’t be pretty.

How can I make sure that I am purchasing a reputable phone card?

I know what you’re thinking…ZapTel is going to tell me that honestly, ZapTel is the most honest phone card store, honest! And I’m just supposed to believe that? Well, honestly (ok I’ll stop that) I do work for ZapTel so you should look for other evidence besides my saying so.
